The bucolic Boston suburb of Newton, Mass., ranked #1. The Silicon Valley/San Jose region of California took the next 3 spots: Sunnyvale at #2, Santa Clara at #3 and Milpitas at #4. Naperville, Ill. came in at #5. Quality of life counted too....and wealth: The median household income in the U.S. is about $75,000, but in the top 10 cities its $121,000 or more.
