Welcome to Alpharetta

Alpharetta is a thriving tech hub and a family-friendly city known for its stellar schools.

Alpharetta is a lively, friendly city on the outskirts of Atlanta and is a popular place for families, couples, and individuals to settle. Currently, the area is a growing tech hub with a thriving economy and no signs of slowing down. There’s no shortage of entertainment to be found in the area, from outdoor activities like hiking, boating, and golfing, to more social pursuits including concerts, shopping, and exploring the phenomenal cuisine in the area.

One of the biggest reasons Alpharetta is so popular among families is the city’s focus on education. Whether public or private, this area has some of the best schools in Georgia, and students who need even more of a challenge can enjoy a one-on-one curriculum at the lauded Fusion Academy.

The large number of single-family homes and diverse mix of neighborhoods and planned communities mean everyone can find homes to suit their style, whether you’re looking for a traditional home or a Georgian mansion in a swim/tennis community. There are even smaller cottages for retirees who don’t want to have to maintain an extensive home.

Local Lifestyle

Alpharetta is ranked as one of the best places to live in the United States, and just a few days here make it clear why. The city has endless activities, plenty of green space, excellent schools, and a thriving economy centered around tech jobs.

While it’s large enough to be considered a city, Alpharetta hasn’t lost touch with its small-town roots — the area is very welcoming to newcomers and there’s a strong sense of community.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Avalon and North Point Mall are the shopping hubs of Alpharetta. Avalon an open air shopping experience, in the heart of Alpharetta, is a sustainably designed, 86-acre community features more than 500,000 square feet of retail, a 12-screen all premium theater, conference center and full-service hotel, Class A office, single-family residences and luxury rental homes. North Point Mall offers over 130 stores, including Vans, Sephora, James Avery Jewelry, and Build-A-Bear Workshop, to name a few. It’s easy to spend an entire day or more there, and nearly impossible to not find what you need. However, if you want more unique products created by local artisans, head into City Center, where you’ll wander past stores like Exquisite Living and Magnolia Moon Outfitters.

Things to Do

Alpharetta is home to any number of concerts, festivals, and social events throughout the year, and most of them take place at the expansive Ameris Bank Amphitheatre.

The stage has seen nearly everyone from Rod Stewart to OneRepublic, and catching a concert there is always an amazing experience.

For those who love to stay active, despite Alpharetta’s reputation as a small city, it features plenty of green space. Head to Willis Park for horseback riding, disc golf, and other sports, or just go to North Park for a fun day playing with the family on the lawn. Hikers can head to the Big Creek Greenway, a 9-mile path that takes you over creeks and through forests, offering plenty of opportunities to catch sight of native wildlife.
